IMF hopes for political stability before talks resume on bailout package

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) said today (10) it is hoping Sri Lanka’s political turmoil, allowing a resumption of talks for a bailout package.

The IMF statement said “We hope for a resolution of the current situation that will allow for resumption of our dialogue on an IMF-supported program”.
